III International Conference of Medical Students and Junior Doctors on Family Medicine
On 8 and 9 May 2009, the I Chair of Family Medicine of the Medical University of Lodz and Students’ Scientific Society at the I Chair of Family Medicine organised the III International Conference of Medical Students and Junior Doctors on Family Medicine. The conference was opened by Assoc. Prof. Przemysław Kardas, MD, PhD and the Chair of the Organization Committee Dr Michał Matyjaszczyk. The conference was inaugurated by a lecture of Dr Dorota Kaleta, the representative of The World Health Organization in Poland, on the meaning of the basic health care all over the world based on the latest reports. The event was held under the patronage of the Minister of Health, Ewa Kopacz, the Rector of the Medical University of Lodz Prof. Paweł Górski, MD, PhD and the Chair of the Chamber of Physicians, Dr Konstanty Radziwiłł, MD, PhD. The organisers invited many world-famous experts, who presented the intricacies of their disciplines.
