New hall of residence at the Medical University of  Lodz

On 15 May in the Senate Room in the building of the Vice Chancellor's Office at 4 Kościuszki Av. a press conference relating to the construction of a new hall of residence for the students of the Medical University of Lodz took place. The participants included:

• the Rector of the Medical University of Lodz - Prof. Paweł Górski, MD, PhD
• the Manager of the Rector’s Office - Przemysław Andrzejak, MSc
• the Manager of the Promotion and Publishing Office - Tomasz Bartosiak, MSc, and
• the deputy of the board of "REMO-BUD DEVELOPMENT" LLC - Stanisław Jędrzejczak

During the conference, the Rector of the Medical University of Lodz and the deputy of the board of "REMO-BUD DEVELOPMENT" LLC signed an agreement regarding the enrolment and accommodation of our students in a new hall of residence situated at 55 Kopernika Street. This is a unique agreement in the Polish market and satisfying for both parties; while the University will be able to offer the students excellent living conditions without bearing any expenses, "REMO-BUD DEVELOPMENT" gets a chance to overcome its difficult financial condition.

Exclusive apartments have been redesigned to form single rooms of a high standard with bathrooms. There will be one kitchen for every three rooms. The new hall of residence will surely be attractive for the foreign students, who compose a large group of over 300 people. In addition, the office which takes care of foreign students’ affairs is planned to be located in the hall of residence building.
